I finally got my !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! out of dry dock for the first time this year today. It started right up, and ran great. Unfortunately, the trunk won’t open anymore. The only way to open it is the key, and all of the sudden it won’t turn all the way. Anybody here know how to pop it open without damaging it?

Stick the straw for a can of wd40 inside and see if it frees itself.

Lots of WD40 maybe? Also, your Apollo is gorgeous.

Can you pull the back seat(upper and lower)? If so a flat screwdriver attached to a long pole and a flashlight will do it. You’ll see the provision from the interior.

If the WD40 doesn’t do the trick, take the back seat out, climb into the trunk with a flashlight and screwdriver, and pop it open that way. You can then examine the mechanism and replace what is broken.

Good idea! Can’t hurt anything that way.

Try some graphite. I’ve used that in frozen lock cylinders before and it works like a dream. You can get it at any hardware store and it’s cheap. Load some up on a paper towel and run your key through it. After doing that, try to spray some inside the key cylinder and then put the key in. I wouldn’t suggest WD-40 cause that could eventually gum up the cylinder and make the problem worse.

No it wasn’t an attempted break-in or anything like that. It’s garage kept, and it worked 3 or 4 times today. The key now turns partially, but it won’t turn that last little bit to pop the lock and open the latch.

Awesome! Glad to help! Try to reapply more graphite every 8-12 months and you’ll be set forever.
